I had to restore the WinXP partition on my Thinkpad. It then disappeared
from the Boot Manager menu.
I went into LVM and created a new volume -- WinXP -- and added it to the
boot manager menu. Looking at the Boot Manager settings, I can see it
listed there.
It now boots just fine. What is different is that Boot Manager menu lists
the volume as:
--> LVM
This does not impair the booting of the OS, but if I go back into LVM, the
volume is gone. I keep recreating it, and the next time I boot, the name
has changed as indicated above.
DFSEE does not show any problems, so I guess I don't have to worry. But I
sure would feel better if I could get the name to stick like before I did
the restore from the backup.
Thanks,
Sandy
