Subject: SCOUG-Help: Still USB HDD Problem...

Content Type: text/plain

I have a brand new Seagate 200 GB HDD connected as USB via a
FoxConn device that is seen by USBRes. The drive appears to
work under Win2K. It is seen by LVM. I could not partition it
as USB, but did so as IDE. A card reader (CompactFlash) works
on the USB connection, but the HDD does not get recognized as
a drive, even after Refresh Removable Media.

Does something need to be done to one of the drivers in
Config.sys because of the drive being 200GB?

Does it matter if its first partition is primary or logical?

If I partition it as an IDE device should it be seen by USB?

Can anyone suggest an inexpensive USB-HDD device that they
know works with eCS? (I got the FoxConn because it is supposed
to have chips from SiI which generally work in OS/2.)

Martin
