It happens sometimes. It's a long standing feature of the TCP/IP
configurator.

Change setup.cmd to read:

ifconfig lan0 192.168.168.200 netmask 255.255.255.0 metric 0 mtu 1500
REM ifconfig lan0
REM ifconfig lan1
REM ifconfig lan2
REM ifconfig lan3
REM ifconfig lan4
REM ifconfig lan5
REM ifconfig lan6
REM ifconfig lan7
REM ifconfig sl0
ifconfig lan1 192.168.168.201 netmask 255.255.255.0 metric 0 mtu 1500
route add default 192.168.168.168

You don't want to have two NICs with the same IP address.

I am assuming your DSL router is 192.168.168.168.

If lan1 is not connected anywhere, you really don't need to ifconfig it.

:-) Good plan. Nothing that really requires this in this case, but there's not reason to send large attachments to the list.

We can return to the Peer install when you have the other stuff sorted
out.

>> \ibmlan\ibmlan.ini (if you have LAN networking installed)

>No such directory, so I guess the answer must be 'NO'.

This is because the Peer install did not get far enough to create it.

>> \mptn\etc\dhcpcd.cfg

>Doesn't exist -- just the .Exe.

OK. It's only relevant if you use DHCP.

RESOLV2 is a bit bogus:

domain NONE
nameserver 206.13.29.12
nameserver 206.13.30.12

NONE should have your domain name (i.e. pacbell.net).

Regards,

Steven
