That's certainly a possibility=2E

>> Is this practice legal=2E Anyone--any comments=2E

Of course not=2E There are at least two kins of "Warez" floating around i=
n
cyberspace: the actually free kind, often found on anonymous ftp sites or=

on websites in places like Russia that don't observe intellectual property=

rites, or sometimes in certain newsgroups=2E Then there are those that
someone has collected and repackaged, and is trying to make money (albeit
much less than the original cost of the legal product) by selling to you=2E=
=20
They don't necessarily have to come to you in the form of Spam=2E You can=

find these CDs with a hundred or so related programs on each, often at
prices from $5 to $50=2E Of course, both the "free" variety and the
charged-for variety may have been tampered with, along the lines of what
Bob is suggesting=2E =20

some > spam you received I can guarantee it is illegal and has a back doo=
r
for > someone=2E

Maybe, maybe not =2E =2E =2E but you'll never know for sure=2E

> Never buy anything advertised in spam=2E

There are plenty of other good reasons for this policy=2E
