Going off on a tangent (who? me?), I noticed the domain name was
misspelled so I also tried barracudanetworks.com. Same product, same
company, but different home page. Hmm . . .
So I ran TraceRoute (tracerte) on both. They're on different servers
(one's in San Jose, the other in Fremont).
Here ya go, try it yourself:
tracerte barracudanetworks.com
tracerte baracudanetworks.com
Back on topic, iirc a majority of SCOUG members at two different
meetings felt they wanted to receive all messages and run their own
filtering so as not to lose anything through "false positives".
For business use the Barracuda box might be an excellent choice. It
doesn't require user training which is nice. I use Junk Spy which
doesn't require user training either but there's no server version of
Junk Spy.
Ray, do you have any interest in getting more info on that box and
giving a quick presentation on it at the next meeting? You could
discuss its various options and, if it allows spam pass-through with
header tagging, you could show how to set up the appropriate Mozilla
filters. People are _always_ interested in spam filtering.
