Thanks to the rain I had some time to try things. Deleting xul.mf1 had no
effect. Also I could not find file compreg.dat. My next step was to add
a new
profile . This worked - when I downloaded the weather website there were
no messages. (By the way, in the bad profile the messages that caused me
to ask
for help did not prevent me from getting the useful information. I just
had to
click to get rid of them. However the problem might have prevented me from
communicating with websites to order mechandise. Earlier, ie two weeks ago
I had to use the snail mail to do so.) Any additional help to track
down the
problem will be appreciated, but I can live with what I have now. THANKS
