I asked if Weasel could put a tag in the header and then send the
message on to the recipient. The recipient could then filter on the
header tag if they wished.

Lurkers: There are several different ways to filter on the sender's
IP/domain. 1) When the sender first contacts your server, your server
can check the sender's IP address as Bob says, and either refuse the
connection or simply drop the connection. (Dropping the connection can
be more effective because the sender doesn't know you've done so and
sits twiddling its thumbs for the next minute or so while waiting for
your response.) 2) Also, your server can receive the first few lines of
the header and then check all IPs and domains listed in the "Received:"
lines, and again can drop the connection if it doesn't like the looks of
the message. 3) Finally, you can look at the "From:" line of the
message if you're tempted to refuse messages from, say, anything coming
from @peterskye.com.
