JAVA security. It fails with or without JAVA security.

Now this is a big SURPRISE, I had expected JAVA 1.1.8 to work but it fails the
same way. I don't know if JAVA 1.1.8 was updated from eCS 1.1 to eCS 1.2 but I
know that JAVA 1.3.1 was.
