Hi Steven,

O=2EK=2E, here it is, Chapter & Verse=2E This is from the functional, rem=
aining
1=2E1 boot partition=2E (btw, that Alt-F4 is a wonderful thing=2E)

After AFNB, NetBeui, TCPBeui, and NetBios lines load, there is:

\IBMCOM\MACS\E100B=2EOS2
Intel Pro PCI Driver v=2E4=2E35 042902
Defaulting to Nic found in Slot 0x002A
PCI\VEN_8086&Dev_1229&Subsys_FB521297&Rev_10
Permanent Node Address: 00301BAE94B9
Current Node Address: 00301BAE94B9
Configured Speed/Duplex: Auto
TransmitBuffers: 20
ReceiveBuffers: 20

then=20

P:\IBMCOM\MACS\E1000=2EOS2
Intel 8254x-based Network Connection Driver v=2E2=2E18 100802
Single Network Interface Connection found in Slot 0x0148
Slot not specified for Driver Instance 1
Loading on PCI Device VEN_8086&DEV_100E&Subsys_FB521297&Rev_02 in Slot
0x0148
Media: Copper Autonegotiated Speed/Duplex: 1000Mbps Full Duplex
Permanent Mac Address: 00301BAE94B8
Current Mac Address: 00301BAE94B8

From this, I'm not even sure which of these two NICs is being detected and=

its driver loaded=2E I also did not see any "slot" mentioned in Veit's PC=
I
report, but maybe his utility is describing this differently=2E

It would be interesting (and maybe convenient for diagnostic purposes), if=

it is _this_ issue which is knocking out the eCS 1=2E2 installer=2E You
indicated that they had made significant changes to the installer, since
1=2E1=2E In my particular case, I'd have to say probably not for the bett=
er=2E

Regards,

Jordan
