Yes and the IOCTL that triggers the trap is always coming from wlanstat,
in your case. I've see the same trap from wifistat.

No. The problem is:

I recommended you contact Christian because you have a better chance of
getting a workaround implemented in xlanstat than getting an updated
driver.
