Subject: SCOUG-Help: Finding Registered SOM Classes, using O-REXX

Content Type: text/plain

Hello,
I'm interested in constructing an Object REXX (OR) program, which, in part, finds all of
the registered SOM/WPS classes on my computer. Now, I do not want to use the
Classic REXX function, SYSQUERYCLASSLIST(), to get this information. Somehow,
that function does not do the full job, because I noticed several classes, listed in the
XWorkplace "WPS Class List" program, but not listed as output from
SYSQUERYCLASSLIST(). For example, the "WPS Class List" program lists the
following classes, not shown in SYSQUERYCLASSLIST():

WPProgramGroup
WPPrinterDriverPacked
WPJob
WPPdr
WPPort

And there are several others.

Is there an OR method to query for the installed/registered classes running on eCS? Or,
can the information be obtained by OR from the OS2*.INI files?

Thank for any information, pointers, etc., on this.
HCM
