I am currently running Thunderbird 1.0.2 under eCS 1.2. In the past, I
have run various incantations of Mozilla, and I have many MB of archived
mail in several directory trees on my hard drives. I would like to
consolidate these into *ONE* set of folders in *ONE* directory tree
under Thunderbird. What a concept!!!
I have tried many ways to insert copies of these mail directories into
the TB mail directory tree, but to no avail. Mozilla (and Thunderbird)
seem to have gone to great lengths to obfuscate the organization of
their mail folders and the directory structure. I can sometimes copy the
directories and their contents into the same directories occupied by TB
mail, but they do not show up in TB, although they are there if I look
in a cmd window. Much of the time, they do not show up in the drive
object from the WPS, either.
I have tried importing them, but the import function only recognizes
mail from Netscape!
Can anyone give me a method for doing this? It seems like such a
no-brainer, but trying to do it has been impossible so far.
Thanks!
