I went home after today's meeting and opened up the FM/2 that I
installed some time ago (V3.02).
One of the things I did was ask the tool to give me the "Sizes" graphic
that Steven demonstrated, for my F: drive. This is an LVM volume of
about 17GB in size, with about 12GB used. The PC I was using is about 4
years old, and had dual 20GB hard drives with a 600MHz Pentium. The
operation took no more than 15 seconds to display a result. My C: drive
(eCS boot drive) displayed in 4 - 5 seconds, and my D: drive (FAT
data) took only a second or so. So, Steven was just demonstrating that
he has an older, but still functional, laptop.
Please note what FM/2 showed for the first few directories (see
attachment FM2.JPG). The first seven directories seem to account for
nearly 200% of the total space on the volume. HELP wasn't terribly
clear about the meaning of the percentages, but I don't see how
directory 1 and 2 can reasonably have the percentages they do.
I went Googling for Steven's beta version, but had no luck, although I
tried "FM/2", "File Manager/2", "FileManager/2", and added OS/2 to some
of these search strings. So, I couldn't try the newer code to see what
it told me.
Can someone (Steven, maybe) tell me where to locate the latest FM/2 code?
Thanks,
Colin
