Most likely you have LIBPATH conflicts. See:

for what you need to do to get the apps to cooperate. It varies somewhat,
but usually involved getting rid of extraneous LIBPATH entries and using
Rich Walsh's Run! tool ensure the Moz apps start in the correct directory
with the correct LIBPATH.
The flash and exit is a sure sign you have conflicting DLLs.
