I'm confused too.

I have that file, aftpros2.exe, so I don't know why I have soundblaster
drivers. When the trouble began, I did install the crystal drivers, but it
didn't help. I suppose I could try again to uninstall the soundblaster
drivers and reinstall the crystal drivers.

But, I also came to see that my modem was not working. I reinstalled the
file, acpos2.exe, but in the process:

I lost my modem icon.
vhdo0437.sys got reinstalled, and which is not "recognized" on boot.

In the meantime, the wireless card has come back on line!

I wish I could make sense out of all of this.

Here is the pci output file.
