I am on a trip and currently in Iowa. When I boot OS/2 or winXP at this motel
I get an IP of 10.59.1.111, a router of 10.59.1.1 and a DNS server of
168.95.1.1. WinXP has no problems with this configuration, OS/2 has DNS
problems. What I found using iptrace on OS/2 is that when the system wants to
resolve a domain name a message is sent to the DNS server 168.95.1.1:53 from
10.59.1.111:49251 but the reply comes from 69.18.32.50:53 to 10.59.1.111:49251.
I have never seen a response come from a different IP and it really does not
surprise me that it does not work in OS/2 but wonder if this is somewhat normal
since winXP does work in this situation.
