Can you run CHKDSK and fix a FAT32 Volume in eCS 1.2?

I got an error saying that my FAT32 volume had been shutdown improperly
and I should run CHKDSK against it. CHKDSK said it was started, but did
nothing. I got the volume working again by accessing it in WIN2K (sorry!).

What goes?
