Bob,
Are you referring to one of the Mozilla extensions ?
(I think that's the one or else it has a very similar
name.) I've only tried 3 or 4 extensions to date,
but, judging from that limited sample, I'd say that
many of them may have a high potential for casuing
anomalies. Hangs, crashes, what have you. Even
though it is only at ver. 0.2, I suspect there may be
some value in installing the Extension Uninstaller
first . . . because it seems to be the only method
currently available for removing these things.
Sander made some extremely brief reference to backing
up the User Profile section of the Moz tree, *before*
installing a new extension, so that it can be restored
if necessary. But no one has bothered to enlighten us
as to exactly where the installed extensions live.
Like in which files / directories, exactly. And when
these things get installed, just how do they do what
they do ? Do they patch the Mozilla code, or
something ? Apparently not, or you couldn't really
undo them . . . .
