There's nothing that says the client commands have to match the protocol
commands.

If it was slimed in, I would not assume it was documented, even with the ?
command. You might try
lcd [ directory ]
Change the working directory on the local machine. If
no directory is specified, the user's home directory is
used.
which is what unix clients and the 32-bit TCP apps implement, but I'm
pretty sure it's not available on the client you are using.
