Netlabs has a GenMac driver that supports the wifi card in my Thinkpad. I
installed Genmac v. 1.00 on my Thinkpad T42 with Atheros 168c:1014 wlan
card, and I added the driver in MPTS. The drivers seem to load OK during
the boot process, but then, during the boot sequence, just before the
desktop appears, the screen goes dark and the wireless icon lights up. At
that point everything hangs. The wireless icon blinks from time to time,
but I am unable to complete the boot process. I have to reboot and go to
the maintenance partition and change config.sys before I can boot again.
I also did the Alt-F2 utility during boot up, and the last driver to load
before the screen went blank was:
LANMSGEX.EXE.
I posted a note on one of the Netlab news groups, but so far no help.
Maybe someone here has some ideas?
Thanks,
Sandy
