How could that be? You use LVM every day you boot the machine.

Seems to be a documentation error to me. I recommend you contact the
author.

Are you sure you don't already have v1.3.1 installed. I suspect the
installer found your v1.1.8 via the PATH, but that's not guarantee you
don't have v1.3.1 available.

eCSMT should be able to install it for you.
