And let me add: use the maintenance tool to download Dani's drivers version 1.7.5.   
That's the latest, not the ones on the Hobbes site. I too tried the Hobbes Dani drivers.   
They did not recognize my SATA motherboard controller (and hence did not   
recognized my SATA drive). Once I used the maintenance tool to download version   
1.7.5, I then had no more problems. The drivers recognized the SATA.
