I don't know why you should have a problem it just works here.

USB has nothing to do with it as far as I know.  At one time it was a disk  
limit, because of field (4 bytes) sizes, that was fixed.

This is a command line option for CLBACK, from my experience not all of the  
options are listed in all of the documentation.  Using the GUI it should do it  
automatically for a FULL and INCREMENTAL backup.
