No. See the bottom of page 6 of the eCS 1.2r Quickguide.

What you are supposed to do with these diskettes is use them to access the
installer on the CD. It appears to you tried to shortcut the process.

You need to clearly explain the what screen you are on and how you got
there. It does appear that the Dani drivers may not be detecting your
SATA controller, but I want to verify this before proceeding on this
assumption.
To check if Dani's driver is detecting the controller and/or drive, select
System Management from the installer menu and open a command line session.
Then enter
COPY IBMS506$ con:
This will list what is detected. This is all documented in DaniS506.DOC.
