I tried the whole procedure again from the eCS 2.0 B1 CD, but still get
no desktop!
I booted from the 2.0 CD, used LVM to remove the target drive and then
recreated it. I thought this would clean it. Then I used 4OS/2 from the
installation CD to copy /bshz old to new drive. Then I renamed the
drives with LVM. Then to add a belt to my suspenders, I did chkdsk /f.
Boots but no desktop.
I notice on my present boot drive (the one I am trying to move) that
there exist DESKTOP and DESKTOP1. Could this be a problem?
Martin
