Yes my servers domain name is news.verizon.net (I used that
in thunderbird and Mozilla). I also entered this domain name
in at least one place in seamonkey--to no avail. By the way
the reason I installed seamonkey was because my thunderbird
suddenly stopped displaying my newsgroups and all efforts
to restore those failed. Mozilla also no longer displays options
to activate newsgroups. However both in mozilla and TB I can
still subscribe to them.
