Fair enough. Then allow me to rephrase:
A Boot drive you don't want to have to replace anytime
soon.
As close to bulletprrof reliability as we can buy
nowadays.
A/V rated: *plenty* fast enough for processing video
files, including .VOB sized ones. (By "processing", I
mean editing & authoring, not just playing.)
There may be more than one of these drives running
concurrently (perhaps one just for data), but
non-striped & non-RAIDed, as I don't wish to mess with
that. And I guess it's pretty obvious we're talking
more about another platform here, the port of
DVDAuthor notwithstanding. My eCS needs could
probably be covered by more modest options.
