The owner claimed to be the passenger with someone else driving and claimed the
driver left the scene before the police arrived. Estimated speed at time of
accedent was 160 miles per hour, the car went over a little rise and left the
ground, landed and hit bottom, bounced again and bottomed out again, then hit
the pole. The car was not licensed in California and was brought in as a show
car, not allowed on the streets because it could not pass California
requirements. But the only air bag deployed was the driver side air bag, the
passenger side air bag did not deploy, sort of blew that story. It seem that
the Bank of Scotland was in the process of reposing the car. As far as I know
the owner has not been arrested, why I do not know.
