Off topic but I couldn't resist.  
 
I know you have been told this by every teacher you've had but I, as a teacher, disagree.  I tell my   
students that the other teachers have been lying to them.  There are three dumb questions:  
1) may I go to the restroom? (I do enjoy playing with their heads when they ask "can I go ...")  
2) should I be taking notes?  
3) when will I ever need this?
