Hi Mark & Jordan
Thanks to your replies !
Yes, I am doing a very regular INI cleaning in the following sequence:
1) Unimaint 5.10.25
2) CheckINI 0.32
3) CleanINI 0.55
There is nothing especially to recognize but =
ONE object takes quite a long check before continuing !!
Mark's remark of the TWO desktops gives me an enlightning:
I had desktop probs some years ago. There was NO desktop after a
boot-up =
and I had to modify the config.sys with a new entry !?
Since I changed to a notebook I had forgotten this ;-O
I have found and read the 5 articles on the SCOUG website !
Are there some other links to Larry Martin's suggestions ?
BTW: How can I find out what this "long checking" object # is ???
TIA again for your help with kind regards from South East Asia, =
