Or it may not...

Tonight I booted to an eCS 1.03 partition on the 770x, and tried to
communicate with the Z60t via IR port. Typing didn't work, but ^C did
result in a heart-shaped character on the other machine, similar to what
what we saw when working with your 770x and my Z60t.

BTW, no wonder I didn't remember using ps2 to change configuration on the
770x. I was reminded on my 770x eCS 1.03 partition, that I used TP2,
which is a graphical version.
