I think I only tried to install OS/2 over a previous installation  once.  Once was enough.
 
 
And, I would NEVER install a new version of anything over a previous  version.  You do not know what the new is going to do or look like or
 even if it will work at all.  You are going to get the same sermon I
 give for Mozilla.  Install the new version and work with it.  If\when
 you like the new better than the old, get rid of the old.  For
 instance, my 1.2rm has sound, 2.01b does not.  Maybe I'll get it to
 work and maybe not.
