Hmmm, haven't seen those. But then I don't own a
laptop (shouldn't matter, you may say, but I wouldn't
want to bet the farm on that), and I haven't installed
XP. My suspicions run to some dirty doings out of
Redmond. They may have marked the HDD in some way,
like a dog marking its territory. (Now there's an
image for you.) If not MS, then perhaps something
similar the mfr. did. Except that in their case, I
doubt they were thinking in terms of sticking it to
any other OS you might bring to the party.
