Reinstalling eCS from the ground up proved worthwhile. I added in programs
one by one to see where things failed.
When I installed FAT32 IFS, I still had both sound and DOS.
When I installed ntfs.ifs, I lost both my sound and DOS (and WinOS2).
If I rem out FAT32 IFS, I get back the sound, but still do not have DOS.
So I can get sound with either Fat32 IFS or NTFS.IFS, but not with both.
I cannot get DOS once NTFS.IFS is loaded, and if both Fat32 IFS and NTFS
IFS are loaded, I get "Internal Processing Error" when I try to shut down.
So it would seem there is something in the NTFS program that is the
culprit. I used the version of NTFS that I downloaded from the eCS web
site.
