I have installed ecs 1.1 on a Compaq Presario 2800T. I installed a version =
of
uniaud (1.0.9) on the system as well. At first it appeared that all was wel=
l
till I noticed that the volume control controlled the system sounds but not =
the
sounds that emanate from my application. (mostly verbal announcements.) This=
is
a seasoned application and I have been running it on desktops and laptops fo=
r a
few years.
I started to play with what I had. Tried to install a different version with=
no
success. I found many different versions of uniaud but they had only the cor=
e
routines (uniaud16.sys, uniaud32.sys, unimix.dll ...) I thought I would try =
to
plug those routines into the original version that worked AND I SCREWED
EVERYTHING UP. Now I can't get back to where I was or forward to something t=
hat
works.
Can I clean all this stuff up by deleting whats out there? Can I rerun the
original ECS install without losing some stuff that I already put on the
system? Is
there a way to just install MMOS2?
Help would be appreciated.
