I only have 2.0 beta installed on one HDD, which is
not presently in the computer. But I did not notice
any appreciable boot-up time difference between that
and the 1.2 versions any of us may be using. While
there must be some variables (I have 2 built-in Nics
in the Shuttle, which engenders certain complications;
can't quote you what differences might accrue to
drivers for hardware I don't use), I think the time
you mention is high -- more like a Dark Side bootup.
It's been awhile since I timed the bootups here, but
-- just off the top -- I think something more like 45
seconds is what you *ought to be* seeing.
