OK.  That's where you got the suggestion to use the 2 parameter.  I don't  
use it here and Seamonkey opens up just fine.  There must be a difference  
between our setups.  I do use 850 as my default code page.  What are you  
using?

Odd.  Perhaps you should send me a copy of your config.sys.  It might help  
me spot what's causing this.
