Yes, Tame was an option (my only one?). For some reason, I couldn't get
my HP 6250 to run in USB mode under Tame. As it turns out, I got a good
list elsewhere, and happened to find an inexpensive Canon LIDE 60, which
gave me the basic scan that I needed right away.
