I really should know the answer to this by now, and
maybe I do, but I'm gonna double-check again just to
be sure. Initially, I will direct this to Ray, since
I think he has opined on it a number of times
previously, and may even have done a demo on it a
while back.
You can have _at least_ one each of Moz suite, FF, and
SM installed -- separate install objects and separate
directory structures, of course -- without
experiencing cross-interferences between them, correct
? Just like the eCS installer for a long time (but
maybe not still ?) created a Moz 4.61 install, along
with the Moz 1.7.x it put on, and there were no issues
in using either at will ? And, at this point, no need
for something like that RUN! utility ?
I'm not talking about Profiles here, or sharing
Profiles, which I know is an additional wrinkle to be
ironed out. And there is something to be aware of in
this connection in Config.Sys. But, aside from that,
no basic issues . . . ?
At one time, I did have two versions of Moz 1.7.x
installed, with no Profile sharing, and there were no
problems running either. Occasionally, there would be
a non-functioning extension in one of those, but it
had other causes and was not a big deal. I've been
sufficiently happy with Moz 1.7.x that I just never
got around to bothering with FF or SM, but I'm getting
to where I have some reasons for giving them a spin.
