You have what would technically be called a TCP/IP based Intranet. We try
to reserve the term LAN to networks implmented with TCPBEUI or NETBEUI
protocols, just to prevent confusion.
Note that it is possible to do file sharing with just TCP/IP protocols.
It's called NFS, but it's not a good solution if you want to talk to
Windows boxes too.
Post copies of
config.sys
protocol.ini
ibmlan.ini (if you have one)
and we will got from there.

Are you going to want to have Windows boxes on the LAN? If so, what kind?
