This mostly true. You are assuming a setup with NETBEUI only. This can't
get past the router so there are no external security issues. eCS by
default installs TCPBEUI will is fully routable, so this needs to be
handled. XP comes without NETBIOS installed, so many users that want to
share with XP boxes need to go through the process of securing their
internal network from external attacks from the TCPBEUI port. Nothing
terribly difficult, but it does need to be done.
