Not since I put the old motherboard back in.
This may be coincidental, but I did some experimenting with another
motherboard (Asus M2NPV-'VM) in a different computer and I found that if I
put in the PCI-E (Radeon X800) video card, I could no longer access DOS
windows or WINOS2 windows. If I put in a PCI video card (GEForce 6200),
DOS and WINOS2 windows were normal. They were also normal when I used the
motherboard's built in video (Geforce 6150). I sent another trouble ticket
to eCS.
But so far no trap 8's in that motherboard, so it may not be the PCI-E
video (although that MB does have a bios setting to control which video is
being used).
I am tempted to try the A8N-SLI motherboard again so I can use SATA hard
drives. Maybe if the startup problem is solved there won't be any more
trap 8's?

For many years there was just no problem. I think it may be coincidence
that the problems started when I changed motherboards, because even though
I have put back the old motherboard and I am using Steve Carter's SCSI
card, the scanner is now working only intermittently. I have found another
scanner on ebay that I will try -- maybe that will make a difference.
