Subject: SCOUG-Help: Firefox / Lucide problem

Content Type: text/plain

I visit a web site (my health insurance) where I want to view monthly
statements of my health benefits. The statements are in pdf format, but
not directly so. I think the links on the web page invoke javascript,
and eventually Lucide gets loaded, but it displays the VERY HELPFUL MESSAGE:

Can't find suitable plugin for specified document!

The page source for this particular link is:

href="getColdPdfHealthStmt.do?ColdMhsDataGroup=ehms&ColdMhsBeginDate=070719&ColdMhsEndDate=070815&csId=12511&requestor=/viewStatsDetail"
target="default"
onclick="javascript:psnOpenPopup('getColdPdfHealthStmt.do?ColdMhsDataGroup=ehms&ColdMhsBeginDate=070719&ColdMhsEndDate=070815&csId=12511&requestor=/viewStatsDetail','default','720','480','20','20','no','no','yes','yes');return
false;" class="bodylinks" >07/19/2007-08/15/2007
href="getColdPdfHealthStmt.do?ColdMhsDataGroup=ehms&ColdMhsBeginDate=070719&ColdMhsEndDate=070815&csId=12511&requestor=/viewStatsDetail"
target="default"
onclick="javascript:psnOpenPopup('getColdPdfHealthStmt.do?ColdMhsDataGroup=ehms&ColdMhsBeginDate=070719&ColdMhsEndDate=070815&csId=12511&requestor=/viewStatsDetail','default','720','480','20','20','no','no','yes','yes');return
false;" class="bodylinks" >

If I try to save the file via RMB/Save As, I get a file named:
getColdPdfHealthStmt.do. If I rename this to getColdPdfHealthStmt.pdf,
then Lucide can recognize and display it properly via the wps or via the
command line.

I also tried using assoedit to link Lucide with the .do extension, but
that produces the same error as above. Lucide must be doing something
under the covers to recognize file types.

Is there some way that I can intercept this .DO file in Firefox, store
it as a temp file.pdf and then invoke Lucide? I'm in over my head at
this point!
