I can't recall the details -- I have OO on both
platforms -- but I did run into a similar problem,
with my (much older) LaserJet 4. I think it was that
OO, having some sort of Eurocentric orientation (?),
had A4 as the default paper size. Where to turn this
off and set it right was not immediately apparent, and
ISTR spending about 20 minutes hunting around in OO
Help and out of the way sub-menus before I found just
where to do this. It wasn't the LJ driver at all: in
my case, that turned out to be a red herring. Once
this was corrected, the print job error went away.
