Subject: SCOUG-Help: Smart ways to organize one's e-mail?

Content Type: text/plain

I send and receive e-mail using SeaMonkey. Over time, my Inbox folder
and my Sent folder grow. Some of the incoming e-mail I leave marked as
unread (even if I've read some of it), on the premise that I might want
to go back and pay closer attention to it "in the future".

This week, I tried making some folders for three of my main
correspondents. I copied what I've sent them, and what they've sent me,
to these folders, and sorted them by Date, Descending, Threaded. So
far, so good. (I haven't yet gone back and cleaned up the Sent and
Inbox folders.) Can I tell the Mail & Newsgroups client to store copies
of our future correspondence in these folders, or do I have to do more
copying at regular intervals?

Is this an intelligent way to clean up the Inbox? What do you folks do
to keep track of your e-mail?

Thanks for your suggestions!
Colin
