Hi peter:
Are you trying to upload to Hobbes? I assume that because I never
needed an ftp client to download.
As long as you have a Win box, EF Commander is a two directory, Norton
Commander style file manager with ftp capability. Ftp site maintenance
is the same process as local drive maintenance. They never added ftp to
the OS/2 version before they abandoned it. Some of us asked Larson for
ftp but he never got around to it and he quit his OS/2 version and sent
the source public. There may be other file managers that can do ftp, I
just don't know.
But then, as I recall, you never really got acquainted with file
managers. Something about, real men use the command line. On the first
day I got my first computer, another engineer gave me Norton Commander,
and I have been spoiled ever since.
