That's probably smart. I have trouble twiddling my thumbs and waiting. Also, those drives have a lot of stuff on them that I need to access
and running from this 1/2 crippled backup computer is really driving me nuts.
Then again, I've gotten myself far enough along with my problem that I now see "unrecoverable error writing M to" while running
chkdsk against jfs drives. Chkdsk on the hpfs drive just won't even complete, it hangs. So I am probably looking at a format/restore.
