At the meeting, Steven suggested that I download yet another extension
called "Mnenhy", because it would provide a "Chrome Manager" that would
let me uninstall an extension.

So, I hustled home, Google'd on 'mnenhy', found the extension,
downloaded it, installed it, and...

Lo and behold, I not only had one of those error boxes in the e-mail
portion of SeaMonkey, but I had another error box in the browser. The
browser no longer had an action bar, and the key combo Ctrl+2 wouldn't
open e-mail. So now, I was well and truly messed up, and the only
sensible thing to do was to go for a Sunday bike ride, and think about
my computer situation.

I looked around yerterday evening, and noticed that an install of
SeaMonkey created a "chrome" directory under the directory where I
install SeaMonkey (in my case, F:\SeaMonkey114), but the tool doesn't
use that one. Instead it uses one under (again, in my case:
C:\Home\deafult\Mozilla\Profiles\default\3r4tqekj.slt\chrome).

The file chrome.rdf there had references to quickquote and mnenhy, while
the chrome.rdf under SeaMonkey114\chrome did not. So I renamed
chrome.rdf to chrome.rdfold, and copied the "new" chrome.rdf over from
the F: drive. I am back in business!

I still have a couple of extra .JAR files, but I can afford the wasted
space.

Now, I'd like to know how I can install an extension successfully. I'd
like to start with Mnenhy, so that I'd have the "Chrome Manager" feature
at hand if another extension needed uninstalling.

Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Colin
