I recommend you discuss your needs with Alex. There are a couple of other
IMEs around, at least one of which is on Hobbes.

You can check the installed fonts a number of ways. Fontfolder make it
really easy. You can see the installed fonts in the Font Palette object.
You can see them in your word processor. You can even see them listed in
os2.ini.

Are you letting both machines automatically select the encoding? A well
designed web page will allow the broswer to select an encoding that
displays the content correctly.

Of course this means nothing. Have you tried to use these fonts anywhere
other than in the browser?

These are useful, but are unlikely to help resolve your display issues.

Probably not. You might be able to purchase a Japanese Warp, but
instaling it on recent hardware might be a bit of work.

With luck, I'll have some time to play with this over the weekend. It
will give me some incentive to install new versions of the browsers.
