Subject: SCOUG-Help: ftp hobbes hangs ?

Mr. Skye:
You get connected, and a the FTP prompt, correct?
My suspicion is that something, (firewall change?)
is blocking off the data (vrs. command channel) for your
FTP connections.
Perhaps a new ISP (associated with the move) thinks of
FTP as something only anti-social types use, the great
unwashed masses have not need for it.
Can you telnet into the ftp ports?
Perhaps a change at Hobbes as disabled active mode.
Just some thoughts on your problem.

Regards, Dallas E. Legan II / legan@acm.org /
